Hi! I am so happy you’re here. If you’re reading this, that means you’re likely wanting to see a change in your life, and you’re looking for some support and direction to help you achieve your goals. I would love to work with you if my approach seems like the right fit for you.
Learn more about me below.
My Story
I believe my passions of kindness and being there for others inspired my career choice of entering the human services profession. Attending University to obtain my Bachelor of Social Work Degree was an easy decision; no math (LOL) and I have the honour of people allowing me to help them through their challenges. As a mental health counsellor, I have been able to support people through their stories using their expertise and I have learned so much along the way, and I could not imagine a career more fulfilling.

My Approach
I believe my values as a person inspire my work as a mental health counselor. My therapeutic approach prioritizes a trauma informed, person-centered, strength-based, inclusive and culturally responsive approach. I believe in personal choice and meeting people where they are at. That means you’re the driver here, and I’m just the supportive passenger along for the journey of achieving your goals.

Areas of Focus
I work with adults ranging from new adults to seniors. I support clients with a wide range of presenting issues including:
• Addiction & Substance Use
• Anger
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Emotional Regulation
• Grief & Loss
• Goal Setting
• Interpersonal & Relationship Stressors
• Life Transition
• Managing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Pre-natal & Post-natal Mental Health
• Self-esteem
• Suicidal Ideation

Trainings & Certification
I value providing competent and professional services and have pursued a wide-range of additional training alongside my Bachelor of Social Work Degree. To provide quality care, my approach to counselling is generalist and informed by training including but not limited to;
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support concurrent and non-concurrent disorders
• Mental health and crises response trainings
• Brief CBT for Suicide Prevention
• Addictions and Neurobiology of Addiction
• Relapse prevention training
• Harm Reduction
• Training to support with various mental health disorders, including ADHD, BPD, disordered
eating, trauma, Traumatic Grief, depression and suicidal ideation
I use interventions pulled from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Strength-based, Trauma-Informed Solution-Focused, and Person-Centered modalities.

My Commitment
I believe everyone can use a little therapy, even if it’s just for “routine maintenance” or a ‘reset’. Working as a mental health professional, I have realized the importance of my own self-care to ensure I can continue to show up and be present for my clients. Some ways I like to take care of myself include curling up on the couch with a good book, going for a run with my golden retriever Theodore, a bubble bath with all the fixings, going for walks with friends or family, or spending time outdoors or camping with my Husband.
I believe there is value in talking about our concerns with a supportive listener, and the simple act of being heard, understood and respected goes a long way in healing. I look forward to working with you and supporting you in reaching YOUR goals, and meeting you where you are at.
