Courtney Wright
B.S.W., R.S.W.
Hello and welcome! I'm Courtney, a registered social worker in the beautiful city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to heal in a space that is safe, supportive, and free from judgment. Together, we can work toward reconnecting you with yourself by exploring the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that may be holding you back. Please read more below to see if I might be the right fit for you.

My Story
I chose to pursue social work because being a helper has always felt like second nature to me. Throughout my life, I have found deep meaning in offering support to others and after I completed my social work education, I felt drawn to connect with people from all walks of life in their most vulnerable moments. What has continued to inspire me in this work is the resilience people carry with them. I’m constantly amazed by the strength it takes, to not only endure pain, but to make the brave decision to keep showing up everyday while holding that pain - just like you’ve done by being here today!

My Approach
I strive to ensure that the foundation of my practice is person-centred, trauma-informed, and non-oppressive. My approach is rooted in collaboration and I am a strong advocate for people being the experts of their own lives; with me offering support and guidance from the sidelines. I believe that healing is more effective when your voice leads the way. When working with individuals, I pull from a variety of different therapeutic methods with some examples provided below:
• Strengths-Based Therapy
• Person-Centred Therapy
• Narrative Therapy
• Solution Focused Therapy
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Areas of Focus
Below are some examples of key areas I have experience working in; though I am happy to discuss any other areas you’re struggling with that aren’t on this list:
• Anxiety
• Depression
• Post Partum/Perinatal Mental Health
• Relationship Challenges
• Interpersonal Violence
• Life Transitions
• Academic Stress
• Addictions
• Self-Esteem
