My Story

 

In 2020, I pursued a Psychology degree after moving through different fields. I had the opportunity to work with and support the community and University students from all different backgrounds. It was during this time that I became more passionate and curious in understanding people’s life stories and helping them grow to be who they want to be. After my degree, I began working with adults as a support worker. It was during this time where I realized I wanted to make a bigger impact on people’s lives and pursue a Master’s on becoming a counsellor.

My Approach

 

As a person-centered therapist, I believe the most important factor in therapy is the therapeutic relationship where people get to connect with someone who is genuine, empathetic and understanding that can adapt to their needs. My approach is trauma-informed, evidence based, and grounded in cultural humility. The modalities I draw from currently are:

    •    Person-Centred Therapy

    •    Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) 

    •    Existential Therapy

    •    Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

    •    Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Living is the act of writing a story that weaves through the life of others. My work is prioritizing your safety and making sure you always have the choice and freedom to choose who you want to be. Through others and I, our story shall carry on.
